Joined as a Staff Platform Engineer, working across CI/CD, Terraform, and observability for a large TypeScript monorepo and its GCP/GKE infrastructure. Began supporting the Firewall team, initially focused on observability and CI/CD, before expanding into feature work. The Firewall is an nginx/Lua-based registry proxy and Socket's flagship product and primary revenue driver, trusted by companies including Anthropic, Vercel, Figma, Cursor, IBM, and others.

Quickly recognized for the impact of that early work, and promoted to Tech Lead of the Firewall team after just two months. Stepped into a team and codebase with significant room to strengthen engineering ownership, processes, reliability, and observability. Took on both technical direction and the product roadmap while building the team's engineering foundation from the ground up. Owned the full product lifecycle, supporting customers who self-hosted the firewall on their own infrastructure, and operating hosted instances for enterprise customers on Socket's infrastructure. Left in October 2026 to take a deliberate career break, having established clear engineering ownership, release processes, and technical direction, leaving the team and the product in a measurably stronger place.

Socket is a supply chain security company protecting over 1.5 million code repositories, named to Fortune's Cyber 60 and backed by Thrive Capital at a $1B valuation. Its product suite includes the Registry Firewall, a GitHub App for PR-level dependency alerts, a CLI for terminal-level protection, and Socket Reachability for reducing vulnerability noise.

Led technical architecture and platform engineering for Viral Nation's AI-powered creator intelligence platform, including distributed ingestion pipelines, large-scale AI content analysis, and cloud infrastructure. Owned the architecture, infrastructure, and technical direction of the company's 2.0 platform, serving as the hands-on technical leader across the engineering team, setting architectural direction, building critical platform components, and guiding engineers through complex distributed systems challenges.

Led a team of four engineers responsible for delivering and maintaining customer-facing APIs and web applications supporting Internet, TV, and Home Phone services within the My TELUS self-serve platform.
